There is no story, till it’s heard. The same way art is not complete till its seen and we humans are made up of stories, we are hardwired to share stories, it is in our DNA and films are the text of our lives now,we communicate through screens and share information and stories through them these stories and bits of information influence us, excite us, we go through a range of emotions from empathy to anger to laughter watching these short films.
A phone is NOT JUST a tool we use to communicate anymore, it is also a tool to tell stories. The concept behind film making on the phone is based about practicality. Film making is for everyone, not just the creative crowd. The fact that we carry a film making studio in the palm of our hand everyday and not use it is almost ludicrous.
Without a doubt we are living in the most exciting phase of the human existence ever! We have come this far by sharing information and now we share information more than ever before, anyone who can click a photo or is clicking a photo can make a film and should be making a film.

Know moreI had a lovely experience. Got to learn so much today. And got so much motivation to start something. Definitely gonna share a film soon.
It was an amazing workshop. Rahul was really responsive and easy going. Monica was very prompt with all the responses and I appreciate the effort of everyone at SAF. Thanks again. See you guys soon.
Thank you so much for the workshop as i am just a beginner it helped me a lot and perspective has changed like how i can work on my videos and will shoot and share one soon.
Had a lovely time! I could just sit and listen to the experiences and stories all day! Please have more of these workshops!! Thank you so much!
The workshop was great – the second half where we got to actually practice what Rahul taught us was really fun! Hope I can manage to make something which even 1/10 of his work.
It was a great experience. I regret missing the first 20 minutes because of being late. Rahul was amazing with his experience stories, all the hacks and rules making it so simple to learn and listen to. Looking forward to more of these sessions.
It was an amazing workshop. Looking forward for more such sessions. Thanks a lot Rahul and Monica.
Hey! It was really fun, Rahul is a great orator and a really patient teacher. He should take a phone filmmaking part 2 to teach editing.
Definitely a great experience.
Absolutely loved the immediate relevance of the workshop. Somehow the technical aspects blended so well with the idea of perspective that it came off as a pursuit towards individuality rather than a mere hands on skill. And that is a somewhat difficult combination to perceive, present and help be received by your audience- a task successfully pulled off today
I loved Rahul’s enthusiasm. It makes you want to make new stuff.
Rahul is magical. He has taken mobile filmmaking to a whole new level. It’s fascinating to know that we all carry the whole world in our pockets and how beautifully it can fill the gap between creativity and human beings.
Simple. Catchy. Easy to learn. Not too complicated with tech savvy terms. However I would like the next workshop to happen over a much uniform space, so that everyone is able to avail the view.
It was amazing to meet mr.rahul as I’ve been following him since 2014 December and an huge fan of his work and thank you nubia for this collaboration and seeing more workshops to attend in future and had an great time their with such an inspiration person
Being someone who knew nothing about film making, I was able to relate & understand every bit of it. It was a wonderfully curated workshop. Looking forward to the next one with more focus on the editing part #keepstarving 🙂
